Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at an intriguing B&B housed in a vintage 1944 tugboat docked in Port Alberni harbor, I was pleasantly surprised by the successful blend of traditional charm and modern conveniences. The location provided stunning views and unique access to the heart of Vancouver Island, making it an ideal base for exploring the region. The cozy room was equipped with a comfortable mattress, which I appreciated, understanding the space limitations typical of boat accommodations. A private bathroom located conveniently across the hall featured hot water, ensuring a satisfactory experience. I had the privilege of enjoying a Moroccan dinner, a highlight that truly enriched my cultural immersion during the trip. Hosts Dan and Bouchra showcased outstanding hospitality, willingly sharing their local knowledge and engaging in social moments that enhanced my visit. Although I departed too early to savor breakfast, the evening gathering with wine and beer remains a memorable highlight. This establishment focuses on safety and comfort while offering a unique vantage point to explore the breathtaking surroundings of Vancouver Island.
